Afghanistan’s U-15 national football team began its training camp in Kabul today in preparation for the 2026 FIFA U-15 World Festival in Azerbaijan.

The camp follows a nationwide talent identification programme conducted across six football zones of Afghanistan. More than 60 talented young players were invited to Kabul for trials, from whom 25 were initially selected, with 16 players now included in the final training squad.

Under the guidance of head coach Elias Ahmad Monawer and his technical staff, the selected players will undergo intensive training to improve their technical skills, teamwork and match readiness.

This initiative reflects the Afghanistan Football Federation’s commitment to developing grassroots football, identifying young talents across the country and building a strong foundation for the future of Afghanistan’s national teams.
